What is in the picture
A single flower fills the middle of the sheet, its cream petals turned fully open. Behind it the sky is deep forest green with a soft scatter of stars and a pale round moon low on the left, and a warm band of terracotta rises along the lower edge. The stem and two broad leaves are laid in as flat dark shapes with a few fine veins drawn over them.
Where it earns its place
It carries colour, so it does its best work as the one piece that warms a cool wall. Over a dresser, beside a bed, or at the turn of a stair, it reads well from across the room and rewards a closer look at the petals. Give it a little space of its own rather than crowding it, the flower wants room to open.
Printing this one
The stars and the fine veins are the first things a draft setting loses, and without them the night goes flat. Use the normal or best quality on matte paper that holds ink rather than spreading it. The dark green ground carries a lot of pigment, so let the sheet rest flat for a minute before it goes near glass.
What is in every download
