Art for the end of the day
Nocturne is a set of quiet evening pieces. A moon returns across the prints, sometimes full and low behind the leaves, sometimes only a thin curve, so a wall of them reads as one hour of the night rather than four separate scenes. The palette stays narrow, muted sage and forest green with a little warm terracotta on cream, which is what lets the pieces sit calmly beside each other and beside the room.
Hanging a night toned set
Darker pieces want a little more light around them, so give them a wall that catches the morning or a lamp nearby in the evening. A row of two or three at eye level suits a bedroom or a hallway, and the quietest piece, the fern, works well as the breath between the moons. Aim for the centre of the artwork at about eye level, roughly 145 to 150 centimetres from the floor.
Printing the darker grounds
The night skies carry more ink than a pale nursery print, so matte photo paper or a heavier art stock keeps them even rather than blotchy, and a minute lying flat before framing stops the surface marking against glass. Print at normal or best quality, at actual size rather than fit to page.

Questions people ask
What does the suite cost?
A single print is 9 euro. In the suite each of the four is 8 euro, so the set of four is 32 euro, as one download.
What is in the download?
Each print at its full resolution, up to 28 by 41 cm at 300 dpi, with a printing guide written for this kind of art and a licence for personal use. Nothing is posted.
Do the four have to hang together?
No, each stands on its own. They share one hand and one palette, so a row of two or three also works, and the fern sits well as a quiet break between the moons.
What frame suits these?
Light oak or a thin off white edge keeps the calm. On the darker night skies a natural wood frame reads warmer than black.
What is in every download
The artwork at its full resolution, a printing guide written for this kind of art, and a licence for your own walls. Nothing is posted. The file is yours to keep and to print again whenever a room changes.
