Art for the end of the day
Nocturne is a set of quiet evening pieces. Three look towards the moon through flowers, eucalyptus and meadow grass. The fourth leaves only a fern and a broad field of sage and cream, so the group has a pause between its fuller scenes. Muted sage, forest green, terracotta and cream hold the four together.
Hanging an evening set
The two deeper pieces benefit from a little light around them, either a wall that catches the morning or a lamp nearby in the evening. A row of two or three at eye level suits a bedroom or a hallway, and the quiet fern works well between the moon pieces. Aim for the centre of the artwork at about eye level, roughly 145 to 150 centimetres from the floor.
Printing the darker grounds
The deeper skies use more ink than the pale eucalyptus and fern prints. Matte photo paper or a heavier art stock helps the colour sit evenly. Print at normal or best quality, at actual size rather than fit to page, then let the sheet dry flat before framing.

Do the four have to hang together?
No, each stands on its own. They share a narrow palette, so a row of two or three also works, and the fern sits well as a quiet break between the moon pieces.

Light oak or a thin off white edge keeps the palette calm. A natural wood frame adds warmth beside the deeper green skies.
